Teaching Effectiveness

Teaching Evaluations

The student evaluations from teaching Psychology 244 for 3 years and Psychology 101 as an instructor were fairly positive. Student evaluations were not available for those courses in which I was the teaching assistant. The majority of means for the evaluations were between 1 and 2 (i.e., superior and above average, respectively). The table below provides students’ ratings on the five following areas: Instructor involvement, student interest, student-instructor interactions, course demands and course organization.

On their course evaluations, students commended me for being fair, enthusiastic and appreciated my use of personal anecdotes to tie the course material together. One student stated “…she is very motivated, knowledgeable and expressed a personal relationship in teaching with the class. Great instructor”. Another student said “Great professor, very fair and passionate about teaching of the material”.
